The Degree commercial is quite insidious. Not only does it imply that women are "more emotional" than their male counterparts, but that when emotional, women are often confused and can't think clearly. The final point is that when confident, her success is artistic or creative. Why isn't she portrayed as an engineer, architect, or scientist? Women can't do those things either, silly!
